Hand  Sanitiser

NATRO-SAN is a liquid hand disinfectant that has been formulated for the Food, Catering, Hospitality, Hospitals and Nursing Home industries. It is hypoallergenic and incorporates Aussan organic biocide that has efficacy against all pathogens including fungi.

It us used as a terminal sanitiser after washing hands. Effective emollients in the product condition the skin and help to prevent irritation and dryness.

NATRO-SAN hand sanitiser will minimise the risk of cross infection and contamination in many areas including:

o        Food manufacturing

o        Food processing

o        Meat Industry

o        Poultry Industry

o        Seafood Industry

o        Hospitals

o        Nursing homes

The single largest cause of food poisoning is bacterial contamination transferred from operators hands to product. Swabs taken on door handles, plastic curtains and work surfaces all show a high level of pathogen contamination confirming the potential for cross contamination from tactile contact.

NATRO-SAN when applied at manufacturers recommended dosing levels will minimise the risk of bacteria, fungi and virus on hands. NATRO-SAN can continue to work for up to two hours depending on water contact and the pathogen loading on surfaces.

The active ingredient in NATRO-SAN is Aussan, a safe, non-toxic, organically derived biocide that will minimise the possibility of cross.

Bacteria of concern to the food industry include:

  • Campylobacter
  • Legionella
  • Listeria monocytogenes
  • E-coli
  • Salmonella
  • Vibrio cholerae

NATRO-SAN should be the preferred solution where there is any possibility of tactile cross contamination of these pathogens.

Aussan
has an inhibitory action on bacterial activity and in conjunction with the iso-propul alcohol NATRO-SAN has an efficacy that is both immediate and long term.

HOW NATRO-SAN WORKS
NATRO-SAN is a contact sanitiser which initially kills surface bacteria and then breaks down the biofilm of the more stubborn pathogens allowing cell penetration and the destruction of the bacteria. Unlike NATRO-SAN most sanitisers kill the pathogen by toxic poisoning leaving a residue on surfaces that in turn becomes a contaminant. These residues may have an adverse effect on the user and the product over time.

GENERAL APPLICATION
Using a 2.5ml / 3ml dispenser unit; apply one pump of product onto palms of hands. Simply rub in lightly, particularly around nails and between fingers. Allow hands to air-dry by evaporation. This will normally take less than 30 seconds. Initially the hands may feel sticky, however this stickiness will go as evaporation occurs. If you use more than the recommended dose the drying time may take a little longer.

After drying NATRO-SAN will not become slippery if water comes into contact with hands. It is safe to use in areas where moisture occurs.

AREAS OF APPLICATION
A NATRO-SAN dispenser should be placed next to each wash basin. Dispensers should also be located in kitchens, toilets and entry points to production areas, Use should not be restricted to processing areas as both office and logistics personnel enter and leave areas where cross contamination can occur. Positioning of dispensers should relate to hazard points for cross contamination as well as normal hygiene protection points.
